Valentine Allen, age 81 years, passed away at the home of his son, Frank Allen, Wednesday morning September 12th. His funeral will be held at Coal Creek Chapel Friday September 14th at 2 o'clock, Rev. John McHargue officiating. Interment will be made in Coal Creek cemetery.

Covington Sept 17 – Funeral services for Valentine Allen, 81, who died at the home of his son, Frank Allen, Wednesday afternoon were held at Coal Creek Chapel Friday. Burial in Coal Creek Cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Frank and Pearl and two daughters, Mrs. Ora McBride and Mrs. John Davies, all of near here.
